James A. Demetriou was with the IRS Collection Division for 16 years.   As a Revenue Officer, and first and second level manager at the IRS, he devised, implemented and approved various tax liability settlement plans and enforcement actions.   He was also an instructor with the IRS where he taught collection policies, practices and procedures as well as management courses.

After leaving the IRS in 1988 Mr. Demetriou became an Enrolled Agent (EA), Licensed to Practice Before the IRS, and formed Demetriou, Montano & Associates, The Tax Problem Specialists, in Southern California.   The Tax Problem Specialists (taxrepair.com) has represented thousands of individuals and businesses before the IRS and State tax collection agencies.   The firm's 400 current representation clients have unfiled tax returns from three to 30 years with unpaid taxes from $20,000 to $3 million.   Mr. Demetriou has also conducted tax problem resolution classes for attorneys, CPAs and Enrolled Agents.
